The history of this hypothesis

This section presents background to the way the  morphostasis hypothesis of immune function developed.

Or, at least, this particular incarnation of it. Others have skirted around morphostasis and immunity and they are listed in this file.

Morphostasis has also been used extensively in business theory and in the social sciences. The term has been used as a principle in cybernetics. This file lists a few relevant web sites.

However, the main focus of this page is how the ideas leading to my published papers evolved and developed and how they were received by the community that I expected would take an interest. Since it is lengthy, it has its own file.
